Background

God sets the lonely in families -Psalm 68v6
We have a heart to serve children who have for some reason been abandoned or can't be cared for by their natural family.

Our work
In September 2010 we left the UK and went to serve in an established project in the heart of Bogota, Colombia. In August 2011 we came to Recife, Brazil to work with the Youth With A Mission base. We then worked at With Open Arms charity which runs a children's shelter and community projects for nearly 3 years. We currently work with Revive girls home in Olinda.

In Revive we run enrichment programs to help girls in develop their life skills. Tony is involved in promoting adoption and fostering in our municipality. Currently only 3 percent of kids in care in Brazil are looked after in families and the rest are in institutions. We hope to drastically change this statistic by promoting foster care in local government whilst encouraging and equipping the Brazilian Church to foster. We also hope to see less adoptable kids (the over 5's, sibling groups and kids with health problems) being adopted by the Church.

Our Vision
We have a heart to see orphaned and abandoned children given the opportunity of family life with extended family members or substitute families rather than being placed into institutions.

We hope to welcome kids into our family- fostering and eventually adopting. As well as, serving in the local community with our time and talents.

Do we get paid?

All the stuff we will be doing is self financed, that means we will not got paid for what we are doing, the projects we are working with are charities and cannot afford to pay. We need to find money for food, accommodation and other bills like everyone else. The way we do this is through wonderful and generous people who give their time and money to sponsor or support us.

As Christians we believe that everything we are given comes from God and many people choose to share what God has blessed them with. Like sponsoring, many people believe in what we are doing and would like to contribute to it.
