Monday we start the Triage

"WHAT EXACTLY IS A TRIAGE?"

We visit the kids every week at night on the street where we build relationships with them and encourage them to get out of the street life.

At least once a year we do a triage, where we take a few boys who want to move off of the streets and into our shelter "Hope House". The triage takes place at a house deep in the jungle where the kids live with us for 12 days. There they learn to live in a house, many of them have never used a toilet or tooth brush. In the house they also have to start to obey to the rules. These children have never been educated, if they are angry, they smash what ever they can find (chairs, tables, other kids), which can be really wild.

Only those who actually manage to follow the rules in those 12 days, can move into the "Hope House". We certainly hope that all of them will succeed, but experience shows that rarely more than 50% stay until the end.

At the house we wont have internet so communication will be a little harder, but we hope to update our triage FB page everyday to keep you all up to date, so please follow this link and like the page.
