Christmas Tank!!

Yesterday we put on a meal for the Hope House boys their families/guests, and staff. I think we fed about 60 people, with two turkeys, two chickens and a pig's leg! Any contact with family can be stressful for the boys but it was made worse as most of their families were very late but eventually all but one boy had their guests arrive. We hope that the boys will have some good memories of this time celebrating Christmas with their families. This is a difficult time of year for the boys as they face complicated situations and emotions. Please pray that this would be a time of restoration for each of them and their families.

The other weekend Laura and I took Beto, one of the boys from hope house, to the zoo. Kinda cheating I know, but this week its 2 very handsome parrots!!  We all had a really fun day out. So I thought we could do a few of the animals for Animal of the week.

So this week at the factory we had a training day for some local builders,training them to use a new kind of mortar to build walls.  It was great to spend time with these guys from the community around where we live, and also to invest in our link with the manufacturers of this product. I am grateful that they gave us enough of their product to complete our storage room at the factory!! It was nice to see some local builders using our blocks, and also expressing an interest in buying some!!!£$£$!!!  All in all a good day!! But the most popular part of the day by far was Laura's banana cake!!

One of Laura's jobs within Hope House is to coordinate the Sponsorship program. We currently have 9 monthly sponsors, and over the last year we have had several one off gifts. For Christmas the boys made gifts and cards for their sponsors. If you are interested in being a sponsor and making a difference in the lives of these boys you can read more about it here .
