We had a quiet Christmas here in Recife, Tony was still working driving one of the boys to family on all the three days of Christmas, and two days over new year, but we managed to celebrate still in lots of different ways. On Christmas Eve we had dinner with the whole YWAM base ( those that still remained!) and on Christmas Day we had a Swiss Christmas dinner with our good friends the Seeligs. We celebrated Boxing day with a traditional British Christmas dinner with Turkey and trimmings (cooked in our ridiculously small kitchen- well done Tony!), complete with Christmas Pudding for desert, with some other friends on the base. Then in good tradition we had Tony's Birthday Party! This year we celebrated with a BBQ. New year.. a bit of a let down, in bed asleep by 10pm kinda affair, as I (Laura wasn't feeling too good!) but the next day we watched the 2nd Hobbit which was great! hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New year and that 2014 will be a great year for you! ...
