Tony and Laura Lewry

Things are starting to become more normal. We are both working and although Laura is limping still, she is getting round better. Tony is doing lots of manual work during the days,Laura is mainly in the drop in centre for the street kids and we are both spending time with the families in the evening and the we ekends allowing the parents to have a break. Things are sometimes tough, it rains a lot and the traffic is terrible ( if you want to help with the home sickness we have made a list of the things we are missing lots next to our address- no- not so subtle but we are desperate!) Tony made roast potatoes which were awesome and Laura tried to make cakes! They didn't even taste good and the dog ended with them! Tony is getting better at milking the cow and the kids are happy to be looked after us now, so we are having some success! Enjoy the pics!

...And so the story continues. Tony is recovering form Flu slowly. He has to sleep alot but feels better when he is awake. I'm off my feet for the time being. Slightly frustrated at times but.. "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all" Things are looking up and we are so grateful for the love and suport of our family and friends.

its been a bit of a bad week. Tony has some kind of Flu or inffection and has literally been in bed for a week now. I (Laura) had my bag stolen from under my nose with all my lovely english makeup and credit card and new Colombian ID card. The Little hut we are living in does not yet have running water or Gas.We have been promised.. but its still not here. The work is great but life is just a little tough. the views not bad though. Please keep us in your thoughts! soon i hope to send new pics so watch this space!

Good evening from Colombia! Well we are finally here! It's been a bit of a crazy week trying to settle in and get free of jet lag, buy food and begin to visit each of the projects. We have started to make some friends and went to a nice birthday party for one of the team up at the farm yesterday. On Saturday we helped at the Jungle club, which is in a poor area of Bogotá. Tony beating the kids at table football. Doing craft. Helping on the climbing wall. Laura playing on the wii!

After a lot of messing about we managed to get our visas!!
