If this wasn't obviously a frog I could sat something witty like toad in the hole. In the process of taking these photos this frog weed in my face! unpleasant.

 Oh deer, she fell asleep!

This week the rains started in earnest, which brings on an incredible phenomenon! Loads of giant ants all come out at the same time. This creates a frenzy in the local community as they are a delicacy. Laura was not convinced enough to try them. Her excuse was " If I get sick I don't want to have to tell my doctor that I ate those".

 So Laura is mentoring 2 young ladies here on the base who are in the middle of their DTS, this role gets us both invited to several themed "special dinners" last night was a Chinese meal which involved students dressing up as monks, pandas, karate kids and women with chopsticks in their hair!!

So I went Brazilian style with the Baby shower (read "Over The Top"). I loved being creative but I was quite tired after it! I really missed having my UK friends and family to celebrate with me but glad that my mum could be there with the aid of Skype!  Thanks to all who helped - Kaka, Cleide, Gabriella, Erin, Hannah and Lydia!( oh and the boys who did all the heavy lifting!) A couple of games of baby Bingo decorate your own cupcake  Nana was with us most of the time although she couldn't really understand what was going on! Somebody put Nana in the corner! Praying  The wonderful guests!

The engineer from the laboratory has made several recommendations to improve the quality of our blocks. so we are hard at work developing the factory. Our current task is to build silos for the aggregate, as dry materials make stronger blocks!!
